December 16, 2016. Attended bro’s commission parade on Saturday.
We arrived 2 hours before the programme began at 1841h. Even though we were 2 hours early, the bleachers were already half-full. The parade went on as per usual. There was the marching, the president, the multiple standing up & sitting back down, the graduation hat throw, taking of photos. And guess who lost all her saved snaps from that night? I don’t know how and why but all the more intimate moments vanished from my Snap memories when I reloaded the app the next day. ): Quite a bummer, otherwise people could hear the commentary & seeing my bro upclose standing and waiting for us (we were one of the last to reach him, so he was practically alone & surrounded by other families). Sigh. Beating myself up about it.
Oh, and fresh blooms from the market for bro’s comms ball.
December 15, 2016. Woke up before the sunrays hit my face on Friday morning – refreshingly cool – so that I could reach Bedok at 9:15AM. We cycled from ECP to Marina Barrage, through rain and shine. I was surprised by the level to which the seawater filled the canals up and by its gorgeous emerald shades. Never thought Singapore waters would be this pretty.
It was my first time at the Barrage and it was pretty underwhelming. I guess I was expecting it to be bigger, more open, a little bit greener with nicer pastures from all the pictures I’ve seen on insta during national day parade, new years eve etc. For lunch, we had an all-Singaporean dishes – bakuteh, satay, rojak, char kway teow, sugarcane, teh o bing. So satisfying – local dishes trumps all other cuisines – yes, even thailand.
December 7. Post dinner, we made a last minute decision to catch the 8:40PM timing for Lulu the Movie. haha One of the best decisions ever. It was spontaneous and the movie, though from a critic’s view “sucks”, was very humorous. I mean, you go to a cinema to relieve yourself of some of the worries of the everyday right? It was such a stress reliever. Mom and I were laughing non-stop even when the crowd didn’t; i think it was because we could get most of the jokes.
December 13. Post tanning session, i managed to do my first crow pose ever and held it for at least 5 seconds!! #achievementunlocked One of my goals for December 2016 hehe. In the evening, I did up some watercolour floral painting. Gotta learn how to paint a rose and a weave. Why is it so hard?
December 14. A night of glamour for sis, a drive through town and some festive KFC spicy chicken for dinner with dad. I thought the christmas lights this year are pretty cool even though it’s really too blue.
December 15. An intensive gym session after extreme cardio (ECP cycling) on Friday night. And guess what? I hit my PB for squats and leg press (;
